| This
week's spotlight is on...
Kristin Prasaukas
Entering
2008 Kristin Prasauckas has been with Southington United for 11 years.
She serves as our team captain, and assistant game coach. Her knowledge
of the game and management experience has served us well. Kristin started
playing at age six, in her hometown of Newtown, CT. She started beacuse
it was the one sport all of her friends were playing. She played at Newtown
High School and continued her playing career at Gettysburg
College in Pennsylvania. Kristin is a steady defender and an intelligent
player in the midfield, often launching counter attacks with pinpoint
passing. Her "real" job as an Application
Scientist Mannger, allows us to benefit from her creative mind. Her
position as captain and assistant coach has made her the sounding board
for the team. If the coach is too intimidating, she always finds a way
to keep him informed and in his place. Kristin also plays on Saturdays
in the Southern
CT Women's Soccer League and if that were not enough she is a member
of the SUSC
Open Women's Team that particiapates in the CWSSL.
She and her husband live in Harwinton, so her commute to games is no
small trip. It is an indication of her love of the sport. The next time
you see her on the field, remember her dedication and thank her.
